[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide occupational medical nurse practitioner, physician assistant and registered nurse services to the government authority located in Washington, DC.
- Clinician includes the following: Perform return-to-duty medical evaluations with medical record’s review and referral as appropriate after prolonged absence, major illness, surgery, or limitations imposed by personal physician, Perform fitness-for-duty medical evaluations as requested by employee's supervisor when it is observed or reported that the employee cannot perform essential job functions or supervisor believes employee poses a risk to safety, Recognize the need to remove from duty or disqualify applicants and employees who do not meet physical or mental medical standards, Review medical charts to ensure compliance with essential job functions and resolve
grievances, complaints, issues, etc.,Possess current knowledge and skill in reading and interpreting EKGs, vision screenings, audiograms, laboratory reports, and Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Perform medical evaluations for employees who experience physical, psychological, and emotional related illnesses to identity conditions that could affect ability to safely perform work; and make appropriate referrals and recommendations for further consultation, modified duty, and/or temporary or permanent disability, Perform extensive review of medical records and psychological evaluations in determination for qualification to meet medical standards, Medical record review for determination of employee eligibility for use of sick leave bank, Perform medical evaluations for respirator-fit testing by review of OSHA mandated questionnaires and referral for Chest x-ray(CRX), Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), and physical examination as needed, Review Respiratory and Silica medical records to ensure OSHA compliance, Perform assessment and make appropriate referrals for Independent Medical Evaluations (IME), Perform review of Prescription Reporting Forms and provide recommendations to employees and supervisors on proper use and/or restrictions; and, follow-up with employee’s personal physician on restrictive medications, Provide consultation and make recommendations for employees regarding the Americans with Disability Act (ADA); Workers' Compensation; and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Provide direction and counseling to various divisions and departments in identifying health concerns and productivity problems, Consult with Designated Employee Representative (DER) and management in development and implementation of protocols, Consult with and refer employees to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for who experience alcohol and substance abuse, mental illness, stress, etc., Consult with Authority's counsel and provide deposition or expert testimony at hearings including arbitrations, workers compensation hearings, unemployment hearing and court cases resulting from medical decisions, Provide recommendations for updating procedures, guidelines, and protocols of the Authority, Promote healthy and safe behaviour through health education, training and counseling and participate in wellness/fitness programs, i.e. weight management. smoking cessation, hypertension management, diabetes management, stress management, Review psychological evaluation reports for Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) applicants, Gives vaccinations; i.e., HepB, Flu, etc.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location
