Government Authority located in Memphis, Tennessee; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for registered nurses services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide 36 registered nurses services to the government authority located in Memphis, TN.
• Registered nurses (36) will be defined as school nurses that will work to report school health outcomes and required programmatic activities to the agency, Lead Nursing Staff or its designee
• Registered nurses will work in collaboration with health services administration and lead nursing staff or designee to determine all nursing assignments during the school year
• Registered nurses will collaborate with nursing staff and health services administration or its designee to address program activities, student assignments, health issues, health services protocols, medical procedures and established policies
• School nurses (36) will work 183 days, 7.5 /per day according to starting school bell times
• School nurses will attend nursing orientation and back to school professional development and in-service training as established by nursing staff and Health Services Administration
• School nurses will be present and remain on the assigned school campuses for the duration of the school day unless approved, accompanying assigned students on field trips, acting as a designated participant in specified home visits or other health services related issues
• School nurses will be available to provide and perform required procedures and prescribed medical services to students during school hours including but not limited to blood glucose checks, urinary catheterization, oral and tracheal suctioning, and tube feedings in assigned schools to address the health needs of students who require procedures or other medical procedures required and expected if needed.
• School nurses will respond to emergencies and provide medical attention to staff when 14 indicated
• School nurse staff will be available to accompany students on the bus during field trips if needed.
• School nurses will be available by phone or email 30 minutes before and after the completion of the school day according to school bell times
• School nurses will develop an electronic comprehensive list for chronic health conditions and health services monthly activity reports for each assigned school required and expected
• School nurses will develop and follow established individual health plans coordinated with current physician’s orders
• School nurses will provide, and track sessions of approved health education awareness presentations-appropriate documentation is required and expected.
• School nurses will conduct and assist health services, lead nursing staff with the reporting and the control of communicable diseases and immunization audits in assigned schools
• School nurses will assist health services and health promotion program staff with first aid, CPR and AED training for school staff
• School nurses will assist health services school nurse manager and lead nursing staff with carrying out safety and environmental assessments of schools in collaboration with guidelines established by coordinated school health and district
• School nurses will accompany and assist health services lead nursing staff on issues regarding absenteeism, health conditions, and other health concerns when warranted
• School nurses will accompany identified students on educationally related field trips as indicated in the IEP
• School nurses will assist health services lead nursing staff and parents in the identification of community resources, referrals, for medical and social needs.
• School nurses will provide school health program lead nursing staff with appropriate documentation on every individual to whom care is provided
• School nurses will provide documentation according to established guidelines pertaining to care of parents and guardians or visitors using standard documentation tools, policies and practices
• School nurses will maintain all student records in appropriate locked location that ensures access for program staff and privacy of confidential student information
• School nurses will assist with follow up in conjunction with the established coordinated school health screening guidelines
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than May 1, 2020.
(3) Contract term will be one year.
