Government Authority located in Utah; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for nursing services.
[A] Budget: looking For Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide nursing services for self-contained special education classroom(s) and regular education classroom to the government authority located in Utah.
The Agency Nursing Staff will be assisting SLCSD students with complex health care
needs. Some students may have multiple disabilities. Health care needs may include but are not limited to:
- Tracheostomies with or without ventilator dependence
- Gastrointestinal feeding tubes
- Ostomies
- Seizures and the administration of rescue medication
- Insulin dependent diabetes management
- Assess and observe students within the self-contained special education classroom for potential health risks
o Vital signs
o Seizure precautions
o Maintain patent airway of tracheostomy student
o Bandage/treat simple abrasions
o Prevent the spread of infection
o Contact parents and/or emergency if student is unstable
- Medication administration
- Blood glucose checks and insulin administration
- Port-a-cath/IV cares
- Assist special education teachers and aides in students accomplishing his/her IEP goals
- Teach staff, students, and parents applicable healthcare information
- Document cares completed
- Ride bus with students when medical need dictates
- Follow HIPPA standards and student medical information confidentiality
- Act as representative of SLCSD
- Other nursing skills as the need arises
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than May 04, 2020.
(3) Contract period will be for five years.
[C] Eligibility:
- Onshore (USA Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
